If you will allow me, I would like to define issue and subscription in my on language. I call this Tonia-nese. An issue is an important topic or situation that we find ourselves spending a lot of time on, while a subscription is a series of topics or situations. More than one.
As women, we all have issues. Some of us more than others. At any rate, we can find ourselves holding on to so many things for so long that our issues turn into subscriptions. At some point in life, we have to trust God and take Him at His word. He tells us how to do just that in Ephesians 4:31-32, "Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."
It gets hard sometimes and I understand. But, don't lose your focus. Remember God's promise to you in Isaiah 43:18-19, "Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert."
Sometimes it is easier said than done. I know that too. But I also know it is not impossible. How do I know? Because the Bible tells us in Matthew 19:26, "But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible."
Ladies, I don't want you to feel yours is an isolated situation because it is not. More than anything, I want you to find healing in this lifetime. Believe me, every time I post something I risk being talked about, scrutinized, judged and the list goes on. But, if my issues will help someone else along the way then they were not in vain.
We don't have to always be strong. It is alright to get weak sometimes but at the end of the day, don't continue to carry around those things that weigh you down. My prayer is that you too will find an outlet to speak your truth. Who cares what others think or say about you. Really? What is most important is that you are obedient to the word of God. He instructs us in Colossians 3:23, "And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;"
