For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11
I don't know what it's going to bring, but I am excited about 2019!

As we approach a new year, let's make a pack together. The word of God tells us in Matthew 18:19, "Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven." This does not mean we have to be in the same place, at the same time. Instead, as long as two of us are asking and believing God for the same thing, He will make it happen.
Because God is omnipresent, He is everywhere. In other words, He can be listening to your prayer and my prayer all at the same time; and because He is omniscient, He knows what we are both praying for. In addition, He knows why we are praying. But be very careful, He also knows if our intentions are good or bad. In case you don't know, God is very big on relationships. He loves it when we get along and more importantly, He loves it when we look out for each other. How do I know? Ask Cain. You see, Cain was jealous of His brother Abel because of what God had done for Him. Cain took it upon himself to kill Abel, as if God wasn't going to know; and to add insult to injury, when God asked Cain about Abel, he sarcastically responded, "Am I My Brothers Keeper?" As Christians, we actually are our brothers (sisters) keeper. Not only that, Romans 14:19 tells us "we are to edify one another." In other words God expects us to build each other up. We can only do this if we stand together. If we ask and believe together. 1 Thesalonians 5:11 tells us, "Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do." In other words, when we take the concerns of others to the cross and petition God on their behalf; He will be pleased. So I encourage you to join me in praying for the concerns of those around you. Remember Philippians 2:3 says, "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves" Will you meet me at the cross? In exactly three days, we will welcome 2019. A new year filled with new opportunities; and you best believe, I don't plan to let a single one pass me by. In exactly three months, I will enter into a new decade of my life. One with territory I believe God is going to expand far beyond my imagination. How can I say that with 100% certainty you ask? Because God's word says in Ephesians 3:20, "Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us," Not just that, who would not be excited to know that you have everything you need all in one. God, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. God as our Father lets us know He is there to protect and provide for us. Matthew 10:29-31 tells us, "Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows. He is in our lives to make decisions for us." 1 John 15:11-12 shows us how much God really loves us; "And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life." Not only that, we rae reminded in Romans 8:34, "Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us." These two scriptures alone has the song "Jesus loves me this I know" ringing in my spirit right now. All because the Bible tells me so. Now, God as the Holy Spirit has many roles in our lives. First, Ephesians 3:16 tells us, "That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;" In other words, the Holy Spirit is working in us giving us the strength we need to live for God. John 16:13 lets us know, "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come," by this the Holy Spirit is teaching us the truth about God. Most importantly, God the Holy Spirit teaches us not to be selfish. Instead, He is excited when we share His goodness with others; and because his is what He wants us to do, Acts 4:29-31 tells us exactly how we are to do it. "And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus. And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness." So as you can see, the excitement of three is growing exponentially for me. I am looking forward to every assignment God has planned for me to complete. In 2019, I am determined to live fully committed. Committed to God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. In three days, we will be entering 2019. I am so excited. God showed Himself mighty in my life in 2018 and 2019 is shaping up to be another exciting year. For those of you who supported my prayer CD, "In His Presence", I will be releasing my book entitled "From the Pit to the Palace: A Testimony of Faith, Forgiveness, and Freedom." This book is based on real life experiences that change me forever. My prayer is you will support this project as well. Most importantly, I am praying that you will be just as blessed by reading it as I have been by writing. In the book, I am inviting you into some of my most intimate experiences. The ones that made me laugh, cry, cuss, and the list of emotions goes on. But, just as God elevated Joseph from the pit to the palace, He made good on His promise to me. Not only that, just as I promised this book title to a good friend of mine, I am now making good on it. Not just that, 2019 is an even bigger year for me as I transition from one decade to another. Unlike most women, I am honestly excited because I know that new seasons bring new blessings and guess what? God has not disappointed me yet. I pray you will continue to follow me through 2019 as I document my journey through this blog, my book, my twitter account (@EliteFleet238, and my YouTube channel (Tonia Lashley). It has been an amazing year and it is all because I took the Bible at its word as it is written in Exodus 14:14, "The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still." (NIV) Proverbs 18:21 tells us, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." Romans 4:17 tells us, "(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were." Mark 11:24 states, "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them." Mark 9:23, "Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth." I Will Get Married . . . . . . . 2019
But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them,
With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. Matthew 19:26 |
