I find it very interesting when others can always identify what is wrong with me. The areas in which they feel I have fallen short. Not to mention when I don't have the look on my face they think I should have at that moment. Whatever, is my thought. You see, often times when people can't identify their own flaws that means they have so many that one overshadows the other.
At some point in our lives we have to stop pointing our fingers at others and use that same time and energy to check ourselves. For example, instead of always complaining about something or someone, take the time to compliment them. Perhaps they are genuinely unaware of how they come across. It's alright to criticize but do it constructively. Criticism can help someone grow or criticism can cause someone great harm.
It's about time we turn the mirror on ourselves; and stop acting as if we don't make mistakes. Stop acting like we have it all together. There is no one of this earth who has it all together; and if they tell you they do guess what? That's a clear example that they don't because they would have just lied to you.
We need to stop being so hypocritical towards others and start being real with ourselves. So what I don't look the way you want me to look. Guess what? I am not who you see when you look in the mirror. As long as you are happy with you, what difference does it make what someone else look like.
So what I don't act they way you want me to act. Chances are you don't act the way someone else think you should act. Let's not be confused. Your critique of me has absolutely no bearing on my destiny. The real truth is in order for you to get what God has for you, you must check yourself. Let's get away from always having something to say about somebody else. Let's get away from spending time on those things in life that we absolutely can not change.
My prayer today is that everyone who is reading this post will take the time to check yourself. Be true to you. Don't let anything or anyone cause you to feel or do something that is not in your character. All the enemy is doing is using others to try to take you out. But if you will agree with me today, he absolutely positively has no place in our lives. Because the Bible tells us in Isaiah 54:17, "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord."
