Ok ladies, I found this quote to be particularly interesting since I had a past experience last week. I know you have heard how the devil uses what he thinks you like to try to get you to turn back. Well, he was crazy enough to try that trick on me. But, little did he know, God has taken all of that from me.
Twenty five years ago, there was a young man whom I thought was "the one". Little did I know, he was, he was just not my one. He was already established with his wife and kids. Yes, I said wife and kids. Please don't judge me, in order to be delivered from something, we must first acknowledge it.
Like the song writer wrote, "Everybody Plays the Fool Sometimes", and we are no different. I believed the things he said, even the story line he wrote. Unfortunately, it all turned out to be fiction. In other words, it was all fake.
Well how bout last week, he had the audacity to reach out to me, wanting to know if I wanted him to bring me lunch. I must say, it was flattering but it did not give me the same butterflies in my stomach as it used to. Of course, when I responded, I let him know that I was quite pleased to know that I had left such a lasting impact on his life. But, I had met another man, who made me very happy.
This is what I want you to know. It is alright to push ignore or delete when you see the enemy trying to take you there. You must let God mend your brokenness and give you what you need and deserve. In other words, by trusting God, you are allowing Him to deliver you from anything in your life that is not like Him. James 4:7 tells us, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
What does it mean to resist you may ask? It simply means to withstand from. Is this easy? Absolutely not. Remember what I said in the beginning of this post. The devil will use whatever he thinks will make you weak enough to turn back to him. Well, I am here to serve notice on the devil: "I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears Psalm 34:4".
Do not fear change my sisters. Let it go. God has promised us in Psalm 37:4, "Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart", and I am a witness that He will do just what He said. As you continue to read my posts, know that I am standing with you today; and know that the Bible says in Matthew 18:19," Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. You are one, I am two and guess what? God is in the midst, therefore, you can ask whatever you want in Jesus name; and, it shall be done.
I love you my sisters. Don't give up yet. Your blessing is just around the bend.
