There have been many times in our lives when we needed someone to talk to. Someone to comfort us while we were going through. We reached out to those people who we thought would have us, only to learn they really didn't have us at all. We have all done this.
Even though yes, we were hurt and yes, we were disappointed God was there all the time. Many times when we talk about God being there, we almost always refer to Deuteronomy 31:8, "And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed;" and, this is great but there are so many more scriptures that remind us of God's forever presence with us.
Leviticus 26:11 says, "And I set my tabernacle among you: and my soul shall not abhor you." This scripture is telling us that God makes a promise to us of His ever presence and manifestation in our lives. He is constant in the lives of His people. God has also promised in this same scripture to place a public meeting place for worship amongst us. That He may take up residence with us.
Just as Job 8:20 tell us, " Behold, God will not cast away a perfect man, neither will he help the evil doers:" In other words, God will not cast away a man who has been left out or thrown away by his friends. Although we may be cast down for a while, it will not last forever.
Further, Psalm 94:14 lets us know, "For the Lord will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance." What this mean for us is that God will allow a time of correction for the sins we have committed but, He will not let it overtake us. Because of our obedience, He will not destroy us, unlike our enemies. However in due time, He will put an end to all of our distress.
Be encouraged my sisters, God has brought us this far, and He won't let us down now. Next time you need someone to talk to let God be your first choice. His line is not busy, He won't put you on hold, and He doesn't block calls.
