Dear God,
I can't begin to tell you what I am feeling right now. My heart is heavy and I'm sad. I am starting to feel overwhelmed with life. But God, I know I am in your hands. I know no matter what things are looking like right now, I know you are with me and I am in your hands.
Your word says, "1 Peter 5:7 “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for us”. Just throw it on him, and let him carry your burdens. Jesus said we could cast all of our cares on him because he cares for us! There is nothing we are going through that we cannot cast on the Lord." so God I want to open my heart and pour out all of my concerns to you.
First God, I am confused about what is happening all around me. I don't know what is going on with the church. During this critical time in our lives, it seems there is no place to go to be collectively spiritually fed. I know how important your children are to you and I know you can't be pleased.
Your word tells us in Ezekiel 3:5, " And they were scattered, because there is no shepherd: and they became meat to all the beasts of the field, when they were scattered." Dear God, your sheep are everywhere. Please look down upon us and save us God from the wiles of the devil.
God, I am feeling abandoned and rejected. Lost with no idea of how to get back on track. I'm not ashamed to admit to you God that even as I type this blog entry, I'm not sure how the next second, minute, hour, day or week will look. But one thing I am certain of Lord is that you and only you have it all in control.
When the spirit of heaviness fall upon me Lord help me to remember that you have promised to trade my spirit of heaviness for a garment of praise. You have promised that your love for me will never change. God when tears fill my eyes as they are right now, I ask that you will dry my eyes; and remind me that Psalm 119:136 states, "Rivers of waters run down mine eyes, because they keep not thy law."
I have reached this place in my life God where you are truly all I want. You won't hurt me, you won't disappoint me, you won't abandon me. God, I want to come back home. I want to come to that place in you where I feel your presence all around me. I want to be able to have a smile that shines brighter than your beautiful sunlight.
God I repent right now for the part I have played in how I got where I am today. I know it did not happen overnight but I know you can change it overnight. Thank you God for giving me the opportunity to say I am sorry. Thank you God for giving me the opportunity to get it right with you. The writing is on the wall God, and your promises are true.
Please, please Jesus give me some relief. I need a breakthrough. I need peace and I need direction. Only you can do those things for me. Only you can make my broken places whole. Don't ever let me forget that no matter how far I go, you are always there.
As I move forward this day, help me to see the traps the enemy has set for me. Help me God to have strength to lean on you when I get weak. And most importantly, God help me to stay true to me and faithful to you. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen!
