As women, one of the easiest things in life is to love. When we love, we love hard. We are all in. You know, ride or die no questions asked. But sometimes when we realize the truth about our situation, its almost impossible to let go. Well, I am here to reiterate the word of God in Luke 1:37, "For with God nothing shall be impossible."
I hear someone in my spirit asking the question, how does she know? Good question; and believe me, I have a good answer. At some point in life, we have all been "that girl". The one who can't see pass the truth because he used the right words and stole our hearts. I can't compare my story to yours because I don't know your story. But, what I can do is assure you that my story is no different.
It happens suddenly. You know when you are content where you are and minding your own business. Satan, knowing the desires of your heart will make it so delectable, it's hard to resist. That's why the Bible tells us in Psalm 37:4, "Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart." But, what do we do? We ignore it every time.
We all want to be and feel loved. Therefore, it can be confusing when you feel you have waited long enough, and then he shows up. You do everything you can not to pay attention to him until he pulls a chair right in your space and when you look up, he's sitting in your face.
As my sister would say, "Imma keep this one hundred". He was a good looking caramel toned, wavy haired, fit young man, when he introduced himself to me. He told me how attractive he thought I was and how interested he was in getting to learn more about me. Then he whipped out the whammy, this guy said, "I have done wrong so long, I am now ready to do right."
OMG!!!!! What a mess. I was like an icicle hanging over a fire place. I melted all over the place. Of course, I didn't let it show but I must be honest those where the words that caused me to loose focus. Not to mention the fact the brother was good looking and wearing a crisp creased uniform.
Little did I know that after giving my all, five years later, the same guy who stole my heart would be the same guy to break my heart. But, as I am writing this post, the Holy Spirit is saying to me, "I don't know why you didn't know. If he had to steal your heart, it wasn't his to have any way."
I must admit, the signs were there. I was so stuck on "black man doing right" I could not see the forest for the trees. No man should have to steal anything, if it is the one God made for him. Remember, God made Eve for Adam and therefore, the thought of her with someone else is inconceivable. Same holds true for us. God has made us especially for him.
Now, I can't tell you who he is, where he is, when he's coming or how he's coming. But, I can tell you with 100% certainty God has one for you. Don't let you heart melt away by mere words. Don't get so caught up on what your eyes see that you don't listen to your heart; and never ever give yourself away to anyone who doesn't honor your worth.
Ladies, we are priceless and when we begin to own that; knuckle heads and psychopaths will not even approach you. Why because God will cover and protect you from anything or anyone that tries to cause you harm. While it may seem like its been a long time waiting, keep waiting and when the time is just right, God will allow our paths to cross. Be encouraged, you are smart, you are beautiful, you are strong.
