For some reason today my mind continues to reflect on some of the pain I endured before God allowed me release. One instance in particular still has me troubled. Not for myself of course, but for the person who inflicted the pain. Although I was the one being treated badly, my mother was the one suffering. I'm not a mother and I honestly can not imagine how someone who is a mother would do the things to me this woman did.
It is my intelligent conclusion that she is a talker and not a walker. All this means is my experience with her was one of a person who would do anything to get anything and anywhere she wanted. This would include mistreating someone else's daughter. I can't help but to wonder if she truly believes God word when he tells us in Galatians 6:7, "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."
I believe there are many people living today who quote this scripture but don't fully understand the meaning. For me to understand it, I had to break it down almost word for word. For example, be not deceived means that we should not believe something that is not true, typically in order to gain some personal advantage. In other words, don't make the mistake of believing that God's word is not true.
God is not mocked is a kinder way of saying that he laughably unreal or impossible. This could not be further from the truth. You see, God is very real and everything he says is very possible. The key word in the next sentence "whatsoever" means whatever, and whatever means no matter what happens; simply put, all inclusive behavior. Basically, this scripture is saying, you will gain the same results as the action you give in addition to more.
My hear aches for this lady because if her hurt and pain is anything like that I say in my mothers eye. . . my God. I keep saying this because she has two beautiful daughters; and if God's word is true, and I know it is. She is not only going to experience the same pain she caused but, she is also going to have to watch her child(ren) experience the same pain I felt.
This being said, I pray that you can clearly see the for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap, in this particular scripture.
As we continue to grow in Christ, let us remember Proverbs 22:8 says, "Whoever sows injustice will reap calamity, and the rod of his fury will fail." Stay focused and be encouraged, all reaping is not bad; but you have to first sow good seeds.
