I know there are many of you who can relate to this post. We have all been in a situation when we asked the Lord, "Lord, why me?" I know you have because I have done the same thing. However, I want to encourage you while you are in the struggle. Why not you?
Please don't misunderstand what I am about to say. You see, you nor I are exempt from the troubles of the world. But, because we are doing all of the things God expects us to do, to the best of our abilities, we tend to question why we have to go through certain things. Why do we have to deal with certain situations. Well, let me let you off the hook. That's a natural feeling and it is understandable.
However, my question remains. Why not you? Let's think about it this way. For God to impart such a heavy burden on someone like you, he's basically showing the world how strong you really are. For God to allow you to go through so much pain, he is showing the world how powerful you are.
When God gives you a test, he's letting the world know that you are going to pass. When God has equipped you for a journey, he has already created the path. When God allows darkness in your life, he is giving you an opportunity to rest. When God allows tears to flow, he's using them to water the flower you are about to become.
Remember, when God allows things to happen, he has already made a way out. The important thing is not what you go through, but how you go through it. When you begin to see all of your negative experiences as God's way of preparing you for greater, then you can change your question from why to when.
Be encouraged, God has a plan and He's working it out for you.
