Every now and then we all need something to happen to remind us that God has not forgotten about us. Yesterday, (August 28, 2018) God smiled on me. For the sake of not making myself to vulnerable to the enemy, I will not divulge those blessings at this time. However, when everything is finalized, I will absolutely come back and let you ladies know the full details.
Sometimes when we are in a place where we begin to question our value, God shows up and reminds us in 2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." This verse holds a wealth of blessings, depending upon what each one of us considers old; and what we consider new. Therefore, if we belong to Christ, we have a brand new sparkling clean life in Him.
For me, my old is a large variety of things. For example, I have a new attitude. You know, a new way of looking at things. In other words, I am following God's word as it is written in Romans 12:12, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." I think someone will agree with me that an attitude adjustment is an interesting thing. Today you're thinking and looking at things one way but tomorrow, your whole view has changed. If that's you, Romans 12:12 is working in your life.
Not just that, I have a better understanding of what it means to be loved. Not just loved, but loved unconditionally. Unconditionally meaning we are loved without any specific conditions. The kind of love that is demonstrated in Jeremiah 31:3, "The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee." This verse lets us know that God's love for us is relentless (harsh), immeasurable (extreme), and infinite (without limits). If you agree that we have all received love even when we knew we did not deserve it. That's Jeremiah 31:3 working in your life.
Finally, if when we embrace that God has given us a high calling as an ambassador to share His great love with others; and we are willing to be representatives and promote the goodness of God, then we know we belong to God; and as long as we cling to Him, no one can take that from us. His Word overwhelmingly confirms that we are His cherished treasure! If you embrace this with me, then you know that 2 Corinthians 5:20 is working in your life, "Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God."
I want to encourage you to give out before you give up. The difference is when you give out, you simply recharge and start over but when you give up, you have start all over from the beginning. Recharge and keep believing that God is going to honor His word as it relates to you in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." Open your eyes, its closer than you think.
