Ya'll already know so much about me and my story it is almost unnecessary for me to write this post. But I have to. As you all know, life can throw some hard punches sometimes. But want to let you know, the real strength is not in the punch; instead, it's in the catch.
I know someone out there is saying, "speak for yourself" Well, let me do just that. When we are living our lives the way God has intended for us to live, it doesn't matter how hard or how many times someone tries to take us out, its not necessary for us to fight.
Let me share this with you. As you know during my season of transition, many people had many words of advice on how I should handle it. You know, the if I were you's, I would; or perhaps the that wouldn't be me's. Fortunately for me my seeds had already been planted and God was using them to bring not just me, but the enemy under control.
During this season, the enemy thought he was trying something new. But God was fully prepared and equipped to take him out on my behalf. Every where I turned, it seemed as though someone was setting trap to take me out. However, for every trap being set, God had already prepared a way out.
When you live right, and surround yourself with right doers, you can be in the middle of a fight and not have to lift a finger. Let me explain. As I was being attacked on the inside, there were people on the outside with whom God was using to protect my character. Ministers, Deacons, Trustees, and the list goes on. This is not to say I have it like that. It is simply saying even though its your fight, its not your battle. You don't always have to attend every fight you have been invited to.
I remember having a conversation with one of my administrators who blatantly stated the following, "you try to have a neutral position. You sit over there and don't say anything. Well, they talking about you too. They drug you in the fight too." All I could do was look at him and shake my head.
At this point, I knew this was getting more and more serious by the minute. Not just for me but for those who were watching how I was handling it. Me being who I am, I simply looked at him and said, "that's not new to me. For some reason I have been the topic of conversation around here for some time."
The enemy was trying so hard to get a human reaction out of me; and when he couldn't or didn't it absolutely threw him for a loop. I'm talking to the point he felt the need to talk about me to my beloved Bishop. Little did he know, Bishop Daniel knows way more about me and personality than anyone else on this earth. Therefore, he became even more disappointed when he didn't get the reaction from him he was after.
I said all of this to let you all know it truly is not necessary for you to spend any time on trying to find ways to get them back. Because even if you do the first time. Guess what? They have already started the plot to get you the next time. The best way to win a fight is to stand back and watch the enemy throw punches in the air. After while, one of two things will happen. Either they will give out or give up. Be encouraged, God is with you all the time.
As you journey through life remember Romans 12:19 says, "Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord."
