For some reason this morning when I rose, I felt an overwhelming sense of peace. As I slept last night, the enemy tried to attack me with this crazy dream that would have sent me into a place that had the potential to sabotage everything I have worked for. I am so glad God has gotten me to a place where I take experiences like this and release them to Him. When this happens now, I tell God thank you for the warning, and begin to do as His word says in Luke 21:34-36, "And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man."
We don't have to get upset over everything. Instead, learn to make good out of everything. In other words, in this case I gave my concern to the Lord, and what did He do? He let me go right back to sleep, and wake up this morning feeling refreshed, grateful, and confident knowing that I have already won the battle. The enemy knows how to push our buttons. He displays those things before us that he knows is going to irritate us.
If you are like me, you already have an over the top attitude any way. Instead of allowing it to get the best of you, use it to bring out the best in you. You see, people expect certain things from people like us. You know the ones who not only know what to say but, know exactly how to say it; and it hasn't always been good. Yet we surprise them when we keep silent. Proverbs 17:27-28, "He that hath knowledge spareth his words: and a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit. Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding."
Don't you know God is so good to us that He has already made provisions before we ever have the experience? Do you not know that if it wasn't for God, you would not be reading this right now? I am elated that God thought enough of me to not only allow me to survive but, to thrive. So yes, my attitude is big but my gratitude is bigger.
Be encouraged. God will not let anything slip up on you. But, you must be in tuned with Him and His word. Believe me when I tell you. God has truly got your back; and He has proven this to me so many times that all I can do is thank you Father and walk away.
