There are many of us who find it difficult to cope during holidays. I am one. Even though holidays should be filled with family, friends, food, fun and joy; if we be honest, a lot of us have experienced loneliness and depression during these times. Believe me, it can be a real struggle to pretend your way through, and at the end of it all you are depleted, depressed and exhausted.
Let's be honest, something about the holidays seem to tap into all of our inner stresses and woes. We start missing all of the people who were once significant in our lives. Whether death, breakup or some other reason, the hole in our hearts become magnified and we can't seem to find our way out.
I want to encourage you this Easter Holiday season just as I ask that you pray for me. It is difficult to act like all is well when it really is not. But keep in mind, God knows exactly what we are feeling and He feels our pain.
